Business Intelligence and Performance Management
Business Intelligence means accessing
data, analyzing it using powerful tools and algorithms,
and taking advantage of the insight gained to make
better informed decisions.
Performance Management
puts the information gathered through BI in a framework
that allows organizations to identify and track key
performance metrics to improve their business
performance.
The amount of data in most organizations is doubling
every 18 months. Buried within this data are the
nuggets of information that will allow you to improve at
the operational, tactical and strategic levels.
To deliver actionable Business Intelligence
solutions, Agora follows a four step process:

1 - UNDERSTAND - Understand your business
requirements
Our experienced Business Analysts and industry
experts work with you to understand the decisions your
organization needs to make and the questions you need
answered. We understand your current process and
the gaps in that process.
2 - COLLECT - Get the data right
We work with you to identify all data sources across
your organization. Then we build the necessary
Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) procedures to populate
data warehouses and datamarts so that the necessary data
is available in a timely manner for decision making.
3 - ANALYZE - Perform the right analysis
Our programmers and business analysts build data
analysis cubes so that information is available in a way
that business people can understand and use. We
include external information such as demographics,
weather or financial data as necessary to increase the
insight provided. Internal Key Performance
Indicators (KPI's) are also determined at this point.
4 - DELIVER - Put the right information in the right
hands
Standard reports, ad hoc reporting capabilities,
"slice and dice" queries, dashboards and scorecards as
appropriate. These tools are made available in the
format that best suits the user - whether it be static
reports via email or web-based access to query engines.
To add organizational context to this information,
Performance
Management is a process of identifying corporate
goals and objectives and the metrics that relate to the
achievement of those goals. A successful
Performance
Management process can significantly improve
corporate performance.
