Job Description

We are looking for a web designer that will work along side our .NET developers and be responsible for all aspects of the design and creative material for the web and Windows applications we create.

This is a contract position, although the successful candidate may be considered for full employment.

Responsibilities

Create design prototypes in Photoshop or HTML for client review and approval
Construct user interfaces for web and Windows applications
Create all forms of creative material (images, menus, Flash content, etc) for development team
Influence the overall design framework for web and Windows applications
Make recommendations based on usability standards for continuous improvement in our applications
Design company marketing and promotional material

Your Skills and Qualifications

Candidates will be expected to provide a portfolio of work and sample URLs.
Excellent understanding of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Flash with strong Action scripting skills, Macromedia, Director, MS Office
Experience integrating Flash objects into a dynamically driven web interface, and ensuring that the application can be effectively used by PC and Mac clients
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
Possess good sense of Interactive Design and Usability

Experience

A degree or diploma from an accredited school
One year of work related experience
A portfolio demonstrating the above skills coupled with your natural flare for design

Assets

Having worked in an environment that uses Microsoft Visual Studio and the .NET platform would be be a major asset.
